📋General Questions

What is Vintage Vault TCG?

Vintage Vault TCG is a free online Pokemon card collection tracker. It helps you organize and monitor your Pokemon TCG collection across every set and era. You can track which cards you own, monitor reverse holo variants, build custom lists, and view market prices — all in one place.

Is Vintage Vault TCG free to use?

Yes, Vintage Vault TCG is completely free. You can browse set lists, search cards, and view prices without an account. Creating a free account lets you save your collection progress, build custom lists, and track variants across multiple languages.

✨Card Variants & Terminology

What is a reverse holo card?

A reverse holo (or reverse holofoil) is a card where the holographic foil pattern covers the entire card except the main artwork window. This is the opposite of a standard holo card, where only the artwork area is holographic. Reverse holos were introduced in the Legendary Collection set (2002) and have been included in most sets since. Many collectors pursue complete reverse holo master sets, which is why our reverse holo tracker is one of our most popular features.

What is the difference between first edition, shadowless, and unlimited Pokemon cards?

First Edition cards have a "1st Edition" stamp on the left side of the card and were the first print run of a set. Shadowless cards lack the drop shadow behind the Pokemon artwork box and were printed shortly after first edition runs — they have no edition stamp but share the same borderless design. Unlimited cards are the most common print run, featuring the drop shadow and no edition stamp. First edition and shadowless cards are typically more valuable than unlimited cards.

🎯Using the Tracker

How do I track my Pokemon card collection?

Create a free account, then browse to any set list page. Click on any card to toggle ownership. You can also use the layers icon on each card to track individual variants like reverse holos, first editions, and shadowless prints. Your collection progress is saved automatically and you can view completion percentages for each set.

Can I track cards in multiple languages?

Yes! Vintage Vault TCG supports tracking cards across 14+ languages including English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Thai, Indonesian, Dutch, and Russian. Use the language selector in the navbar to switch between languages and track your collection per language.

What are custom lists and how do I create one?

Custom lists let you build personalized collections around any criteria — your favorite Pokemon, a specific artist, particular rarity types, or any theme. You can create conditions using tags, card names, artists, and more. Custom lists automatically populate with matching cards from the database and you can track your progress toward completing them.

💰Pricing & Selling

Where does the pricing data come from?

Market prices are sourced from TCGplayer, the largest marketplace for trading card games in the United States. We display market prices for normal, holofoil, reverse holofoil, and first edition variants where available. Prices are updated periodically and are for informational purposes only — they do not constitute offers to buy or sell.
